1 Year Contract Position The gaming arm of a large software company in Redmond is looking for an experienced Sound Designer to work on several high-profile games. The focus of this role will be sound design in the truest sense of the title; record, manipulate, layer, and mix audio elements into effective sound cues for integration in various console and PC titles. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional experience as a Lead-level Sound Designer for AAA game titles. A demo reel exhibiting past work or links to the demo material from the web will be required. Due to the file size, please do not send a demo reel at this time; one will be requested when a Recruiter contacts you. There is a strong emphasis on the quality of the demo material for the initial candidate selection process. Each piece must be accompanied by production notes regarding the creation of the content. Requirements: Required Skills for this Sound Designer position includes the following: Must have 5+ years of professional experience as a Lead-level Sound Designer for AAA game titles. Ability to operate Pro Tools proficiently. Experience with audio middleware, such as Wwise, FMOD, or Xact a big plus. Possess strong communication and organizational skills.
